To facilitate the travel of the FIPSE-6 participants, bus service is offered on Saturday and Sunday from the Eleftherios Venizelos airport in Athens to the Aldemar Olympian Village Resort. The cost of this service is equivalent to the cost of a taxi to the center of Athens. On Saturday, the bus will depart at 15:00, while on Sunday, the departure time will be at 14:30 to arrive at the resort in time for the welcome reception. Kindly make your air travel reservations so that you can catch up with these buses, as they will depart at the scheduled time. The bus, marked with a FIPSE sign, will be in the parking lot immediately to the right after you exit the airport building. It will depart precisely at 15:00

A complimentary bus will leave the hotel at 18:30 and transport the participants to the port city of Katakolo.   This will give the FIPSE participants the opportunity to leave the resort and get a taste of the local life in the charming city of Katakolo, where a variety of restaurants along the water are full of life during the summer months, when outside dining is the only choice. The port, one of the largest in the Ionian Sea, does not have commercial traffic. Still, between April and October, it is visited daily by two or three cruise ships. Most of their customers visit Ancient Olympia and stroll the local seaside promenade. Luckily for us, these huge ships depart in the afternoon, leaving the post in its local tranquility. The bus will pick up the FIPSE participants at the same point where they disembarked at 22:00 for the return trip to the resort

On Thursday morning, after the conclusion of the conference, a bus will depart the Conference Resort for the Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens. The bus will leave the resort at 08:30 in the morning. The expected arrival at the Venizelos Athens airport is at 13:00±0:30. Kindly make your departure plans accordingly, though a few days in Athens would be a superb complement to your FIPSE-6 participation.
