FIPSE 1

The FIPSE-1 meeting took place at the Aldemar-Olympian Village, a beautiful seaside resort and spa in Western Peloponnese, Greece, on August 29-31 2012. This invitation only conference had participation from 45 leading researchers in PSE worldwide, plus their spouses.

Conference Program

The FIPSE-1 meeting addressed three PSE research topics, two of which are related. There were only six invited speakers who set the framework of the future innovation challenges that need to be addressed. Additional short impromptu presentations by the participants were made in the afternoon session that discussed the unsolved problems.

Discussion on the Unsolved Challenges

This session was the most important part of the conference. It included five minute presentations by conference participants and extensive discussions among all participants. The focus was on defining a set of the most challenging open problems on the topic discussed in the morning.
